About the Event
A flat 5k run/walk starting and finishing at Groff Park, sponsored by the Amherst Education Foundation. Kids “Fun Run” will be a 1 mile run for runners 12 and under that will begin at 9:00. Runners and Walkers for the 5K also start at 9:00. The Spring Sprint will take place rain or shine…think sunny thoughts! This event is a USATF sanctioned race.

Registration for runners and walkers is $20.00 prior to the day of the sprint and $25.00 for registration the day of the event. The first 100 registrants will receive a free Spring Sprint t-shirt. “Fun Run” registration is $10.00 without a t-shirt or $20.00 with a t-shirt. Registration and check-in on the day of the race is from 8:00-8:45.

From the north take route 116S past the center of Amherst. Take a left onto Mill Lane- Groff Park is on your left. From the south follow 116 N and take a right onto Mill Lane- Groff Park is on the left. From the east, take route 9 to the intersection of 9 and 116. Take a left onto 116 until Mill Lane. Take a left onto Mill Lane- Groff Park is on the left. From the east, follow route nine up to the intersection of 9 and 116. Take a right onto 116 until Mill Lane. Take a left onto Mill Lane -Groff Park is on your left.
